LiveBooth was an app I created for live event photographers and photo booths. I developed and maintained it for several years, but this year I committed full-time to Simple Booth and realized I can no longer continue working on it. Thank you to you everyone who downloaded and used the app. If you still need it, is is available on the App Store, but it is no longer actively being maintained. If you’re looking for world-class photo booth apps and hardware, I encourage you to check out www.simplebooth.com!
LiveBooth is an app available for iPad on the App Store that provides social sharing features and marketing tools for event photographers and photo booths. By using LiveBooth at events, guests have more fun and you are able to market your business.
One core idea behind LiveBooth is that you can use it with many different kinds of setups by simply setting your Photo Source. The most common Photo Source to use is either My Photo Stream or Dropbox which handle the syncing process for you and make it easy to sync your photos to one or more LiveBooth kiosks. You can also use the new LiveBooth Direct for Mac application if your photos arrive on a Mac computer first, such as when your Mac is tethered directly to a DSLR camera.
Another core idea behind LiveBooth is that it is great at handling and displaying high-resolution images. It caches every image you send it into multiple image sizes for fast display and at the same time will apply your Overlay image if it is turned on. When LiveBooth is in action, you can change the displayed image size in real-time to quickly browse high-resolution images, small thumbnails and everything in-between.
LiveBooth is designed for guests to understand intuitively and begin using right away with minimal help. You can change your settings when you first open the app, then after you launch the kiosk you must restart the app to access the settings again to prevent guests from changing anything during your event.
